The Old Man and the Sea is one of Hemingway’s most enduring works and may very well become one of the true classics of this generation. Hemingway is also one of my favorite writers. Besides The Old Man And the Sea, I have read some of his other works, such as The Sun Also Rises, A Farewell to Arms and The Snow of Kilimanijaro. But The Old Man and the Sea is the one that left the deepest impression on me.

暑假中，我计划读5本以上的好书，其中我读的第一本世界名著就是海明威写的《老人与海》。以前也曾看过翻拍的动画片，当时就被老人克服困难的勇气和坚强的意志所折服。这次读《老人与海》的一原著，
让我更深刻体会到了老人搏斗的精神。
老人年纪大了，无儿无女，除了在大海里靠打渔为生，便无依无靠，日子过得异常艰苦。老人很不幸，很长一段时间里都没有钓到鱼了。没有鱼就没有了食物和收入的来源，老人只能驾一条小船，深入大海中去捕鱼。
那条小船根本经不起海浪的袭击，在海上摇摇欲坠，随时可能会被大海吞没。
驾如此一页扁舟，能深入大海中捕鱼，就足够说明老人的勇气了。
或许是上帝以为老人勇气可嘉，老人在努力了半天之后，终于有一条大鱼上钩了。可是，那条鱼太大了，仅凭老人一人之力，几乎无法将鱼钓起。但是老人和凶残的大鱼搏斗，鱼也和老人、小船拼命。
老人用鱼叉、棍子、绳索和鱼搏斗，鱼也用他巨大的身躯撞击小船来还击。小船随时有可能被大鱼撞翻而沉入海底。老人冒着生命危险，用尽所有办法，将鱼杀死捕获。
此时，原以为老人制服了大鱼，得以回航享受胜利的成果了。可是，还没等老人喘口气，大鱼的血液腥味引来了鲨鱼。
这鲨鱼的凶残程度和大鱼相比，何止强上百倍。鲨鱼大口吞噬着老人的劳动成果，此时已经精疲力尽的老人为了保持劳动成果，不得不和鲨鱼搏斗。
老人又和鲨鱼搏斗一阵，顺利回航。可是，那条大鱼已经被鲨鱼吃光，只剩下一具骨架了
看到这里，我为老人可惜的同时，深深地被老人的勇气、意志折服了，老人虽然没有保住大鱼，但是他是个胜利者。他不仅战胜了大鱼和鲨鱼，还战胜了自己。
